Purpose: Prayer Community
Objective
My goal was to design an active Christian community platform where users pray for one another. Recognizing that everyone craves being heard and encouraged, this app empowers individuals to combat loneliness through mutual prayer and support. It provides a safe, accessible space to share tender, faith-based needs, with the option to remain completely anonymous. To facilitate engagement, the platform features a distraction-free, mobile-first interface, alongside a 'bulk prayer' tool to help passionate users easily lift up multiple requests.
Problem
In larger congregations, managing prayer requests can be difficult due to limited time, a lack of volunteers, or the hesitancy of online attendees to reach out. While current workarounds exist, many people still fall through the cracks. This platform offers an accessible alternative for those who lack a church home or cannot attend in person. It can supplement ongoing spiritual needs, offer temporary support while someone searches for a local Christian church, and provide meaningful ministry opportunities for those who wish to serve. By providing a safe place to share needs and lift up others, it allows users to build a strong and supportive community from anywhere.
